blog 10

The surveys through Qualtrics are one of my favorite things we've learned to do so far. I love how applicable that skill is to all professions and activities. I will use surveys in my classroom in the future as a way to poll my students. This will allow me to see how well my students feel they grasp a concept before moving on, and it will allow me to get feedback from my students on how they feel I am doing throughout the year when it comes to meeting their needs both academically and creatively. I hope that in the future being able to get feedback from my students will give me the opportunity to grow even more as a teacher. I would like to teach elementary English., and I am unsure of the grade level yet, but I would tailor my surveys to be easily done by whichever grade I end up teaching. I could even get ratings on how much my English students enjoy the books they are reading.

My favorite topic that we did was FlipGrid. I thought it was fun getting to watch the facial expressions and hear the voice fluctuations of my classmates when watching them discuss a flipped classroom. I feel like it allowed us to convey more emotion than just a text blog allows us to. It also allowed us to learn a new form of technology while discussing a topic, and I feel that this is very cool because that blog topic acted as a dual learning method. I also just enjoyed hearing people talk about a flipped classroom in general because it is such a hot topic these days, and everyone had similar views but different reasons on why they did or did not like a flipped classroom.

I really want to learn how to use photoshop next. I feel that it is a skill that can be applied across so many fields both personal and professional. I can achieve this by taking a class, watching online tutorials, or exploring the technology myself. I will definitely look further into how I can learn to use photoshop, and I will explore the ways I can apply it to the field of teaching.

  1. I thought about learning how to use photoshop next because I'm really interested in modeling and photography, so I feel like it would be very beneficial for me to start as soon as possible.
